Cute bistro-style restaurant with delicious Italian pasta. We started with the Arancini which offered multiple separate bites which is always nice compared to one big version. We then went for a pasta which had a butter cream sauce and was ravioli-style with crab inside. Yum yum yum. Then we had the mushroom sauce pasta. Equally as good. Lastly we finished the meal off with an olive oil cake. Every dish we had was delicious. Would highly recommend checking out this spot!!

We very much enjoyed the mushroom tagliatelle - just the right amount of creaminess. The pork chops are perfectly tender yet a bit too salty to our taste. The arancini and beet salad are okay. The cocktails are bit underwhelmed though very presentable.

Amazing low key spot! My friends and I visited during Austin Restaurant week and chose the course Menu for brunch. I had the Peppers as a starter and the Tagliatelle as the main dish. The Pasta was AMAZING and the portion was great, too. Later I got a coffee which I also liked. Overall a great place that is super pretty too. They have like an oldies vibe and super pretty tiles.

Y'all have to go and visit their new location at Swoop Events. Super cozy and warm inside. Nice garden and plenty of plants for outside sitting. We went with the chef pairing, def recommend 10/10 tasting menu and wonderful service. The only - was the cheesecake portion was too small. Still the freshest ingredients and best combination of flavors. This was our second time and we will be back. Thanks for an awesome birthday meal. We had a dinner reservation at 7 pm on a Friday at their old hotel location. And we were greeted warmly and set up with a table right away by the nice hostess, superb service overall by the staff, food came out timely and drinks were delicious. They just switched the menu, and the staff was helpful in deciding on the drinks and food. Started off with the fried artichokes, spicy and tasty, beets salad was next and it was a refreshing dish for the hot summer in Texas. Then we had pasta and meatballs as the main entrees, noted good portion sizes for the entrees. Then to finish off we ordered both the cheese cake and olive oil cake. I must say the cheesecake was divine, one of the best cheesecake I had in Austin and they made it with goat cheese and topped off with strawberry puree and pistachio, 10/10 on the dessert and the olive oil cake had nice texture and flavor too, loved the sugar crumbles. Fair prices on all the dishes make Poeta a must try spot, food can be a bit more salty but still delish. I will definitely be back and bring friends. Oh get the drinks, amazing cocktails

an excellent meal at the soft opening of Poeta. Molly, our server, took great care of us. we had a standard and a veg tasting menu. the dishes were all executed perfectly, and had a lovely balance of flavors and textures. i won’t get too detailed bc the tasting menu is going to change every month, but for example: the avocado on one dish was pushed through and ISI pump, so it came out light and fluffy. the chef uses tricks like cashew cream for richness without dairy, and tosses in chopped nuts for unexpected crunch. the chevre cheesecake with a cherry compote was a beautiful finish - so good, we wanted to take some home but alas, none could be spared that night. delicious without being pretentious, and paced for a lovely, leisurely meal. look forward to returning soon.

My wife and I spent a wonderful evening at Poeta celebrating our 15-year wedding anniversary and we enjoyed the experience so much we went back the next evening. I say experience because it is not your typical get in, get out restaurant. This was a 2-hour experience and even if you do not have something to celebrate it is still a wonderful experience! Crysal and her staff went out of their way to make our special night one to remember. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the staff was fun, passionate, knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. My personal favorites were the Pork sausage Rigatoni, Wagyu NY Strip and the Chèvre cheesecake. Crystal had also given us a small plate of handmade chocolates from there other restaurant called Intero. This is another off the chart's restaurant. But that's separate review. If you do visit Intero I highly recommend the chocolates! Crystal - Thank you for making this a very special time for us and we will be back down to see you all again.

If you want to try the restaurant week menu, all parties at the table have to order the set. As the dishes are available on the regular menu, we just went with the regular menu. For starters, we got the arancini, chicken liver mousse, and beef tartare. The arancini has a deluctible tomato sauce. The fried pasta ball itself lacking a little frying time. The outside is not very crispy, but the sauce saved the dish. The liver mousse is generous in portions. It's also paired with toasted bread, which they offered extra to us at no cost since there were 4 of us and we were sharing. You definitely taste the liver, so if you enjoy something like that, you would love this dish. It's also paired with candied raisins, so altogether, the flavor is very delightful and balanced. The tartare is also kind of unique. Rather than a stack of raw beef, they decorated it with raw egg yolk, marinated mushrooms, and a parm cream that tasted kinda resembled mayonnaise lol. My friend also mentioned that they might have tasted Wasabi in the seasoning. When mixed together, I quite like the texture. It also goes well with the crisps that came along. We also tried the apple and endive salad. It's interesting. They did a good job balancing the bitter and sweet. For entree, we had lamb gnocchi, pesto pasta, and pork chop. The lamb gnocchi is the star of the night. It was so flavorful and delicate. I want to steal their recipes for these sauces! The pesto pasta is very refreshing. I think I tasted lemongrass. The porkchop is surprisingly good! Perfectly roasted and full of flavor. It's interesting how they paired it with goat cheese - when you put that on the pork, it kinda tasted like a lamb chop! Dessert was okay (and we were very full by that point). The gelato in the chocolate torte dish is delicious. The cake itself is very sweet. Tiramissu was mediocre. It has enough coffee and mascarpone flavor, but there were layers of cake in addition to the ladyfingers, making the overall texture a little dry. Overall, it's a pretty pleasant meal, and we'll probably go back again! Update: October 2024 I took my parents here for my dad's birthday. Food is still awesome! Love the mushroom pasta. Milk braised pork was semi-meh. They offered my dad a chevre cheesecake for free! Such a lovely place.
